(CSAE/SCGR) presents the
The Maple Leaf Award is given to honour members of the CSAE/SCGR who have
distinguished themselves as leaders in the profession. The award is given
for outstanding personal qualities, society activities, and professional
abilities.
Professor R.L. Kushwaha has devoted his entire career in the service of the engineering profession. He received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in 1961 from the University of Allahabad, India, M.S.A. degree from the University of Toronto in 1964 and Ph.D. degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1967. In 1986, he became Professor of Agricultural and Bioresource Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Kushawaha has served both CSAE/SCGR and ASAE in various capacities.
He was President of CSAE/SCGR for two terms (2001-2003). He served on
the ASAE Board of Trustees and leadership positions on International and
Power & Machinery divisions. He is serving his third term as Councillor
of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan
(APEGS). He was Chair of the Registration Committee, the Experience Review
subcommittee and the Awards Committee for APEGS. Currently, he is a member
of the Canadian Engineering Qualifications Board (CEQB) of the Canadian
Council of Professional Engineers (CCPE), the Canadian Secretary on the
Board of the International Society for Terrain-Vehicle Systems and a member
of the Membership Development Council of ASAE. |
